About Habitat for Humanity York County
Habitat for Humanity York County was founded in 1985 by Miles Freeman and a small group of dedicated individuals. Since that time, Habitat has completed 36 homes in York County for hard-working people in need of decent, affordable housing.
In June 2013, Habitat opened a ReStore. The Kennebunk ReStore sells donated building materials, appliances, furniture, hardware and household goods to the general public at discounted prices. In 2023 The ReStore purchased its forever home at 123 York Street. The proceeds from the ReStore support Habitat’s affordable housing mission.

The Kennebunk ReStore accepts drop off donations Tuesday-Saturday from 9:00am-3:30pm. The ReStore also picks up donations throughout York County. You can schedule a pick up here.
