Former President and Veteran World War II pilot George H. W. Bush was the Honorary Chairperson for our first ever Veterans Build.
“I am proud to be able to serve my community by assisting Habitat to create affordable housing for a fellow veteran right here in Kennebunkport. This is a wonderful way for our entire community to come together to help those who have unselfishly served our Country,” said President Bush.

Groups from U.S.S. Scranton, the Coast Guard, local veteran organizations, South Church, Church on the Cape, Prudential, Target, Peoples United Bank, Kennebunk Saving Bank, Pratt & Whitney, SERE East Navy Command, York County UCC Missions, Lesley University, and Lamington Presbyterian Church as well as individual volunteers and the partner family have assisted in building the home.
