Pull together your friends, family, church members or co-workers, and have fun making a difference. Learn about our current group volunteer opportunities. We also welcome your expertise, connections and passion on one of our committees to help plan, maintain, and grow Habitat's programs.

Current Group Activities

Construction

Tasks on our construction sites vary depending on where we are in the construction schedule. No construction experience is necessary, just a willingness to roll up your sleeves for a good cause. We schedule groups ranging from 8 to 12 volunteers depending on availability.

Corporate volunteer groups are encouraged to sponsor their volunteer day or an ENTIRE HOUSE! This financial support helps defray the expensive costs of land, construction, and materials. By volunteering and sponsoring, the support is two-fold. Please contact us if you are interested in sponsoring a HOUSE! Also, learn more about company Team Builds. and Team Building Partnerships.

The ReStore

The ReStore is a retail store that assists in funding our affordable housing mission by selling donated home improvement items to the public. Group volunteers assist with the daily operations of the store, which can include sorting donations, arranging merchandise and performing basic cleaning tasks. All volunteers must be 16 or older. Weatherization

Keep York County Warm! brings volunteers together to weatherize homes and reduce energy costs for low-income residents. Learn More

Youth Groups

Group opportunities are available for persons 16 and older (one adult chaperon for every four minors). If you are 16 or 17 year old, please fill out a Waiver, have it signed by a parent or legal guardian, and bring it with you. Construction volunteers must be at least 16 years old and over 18 to work on scaffolding, roofs, or use power tools.
